A few years ago, I set out to record two minutes of music a day for a month straight and called the project The Daily Two. Listening back, a few of the songs that worked themselves out kept feeling like finished pieces, cohesive enough to be released. So, just before embarking on the third round of Daily Twos, I'm releasing these gems from the first round to the world, freshly mastered at a higher quality than my then-go-to DAW GarageBand would allow.
released January 27, 2014
Guitars, acoustic and electric, by Tom Eisenbraun. Same with the synthesizers and the drum loop on "Weaving Palindromes." Both "I-5 South" and "Like a tree breathing through its spectacles" involve an Apple drum loop that I've chopped and diced to taste. The latter also prominently features a recording of Frank O'Hara reading his poem "Having a Coke with you" from 1966.
